LR Baggs welcomes Grammy-nominated, 2023 IBMA Guitar Player of the Year, Trey Hensley to our office at Soundcheck in Nashville, TN, to check out the all new Baggs AEG-1. Our very first branded Acoustic/Electric Guitar. Trey showcases the playability of the AEG-1 and gives us his initial thoughts. The AEG-1 is equipped with the LR Baggs HiFi Duet pickup.

What a beast!
This is the best electric acoustic guitar I've ever heard. The strings ring like bells.
If you close your eyes it sounds like a normal acoustic guitar.

Sounds great on lead lines! Would've loved to hear more strummed closed and open chords... That's where the body and pickup will be put to the test to see if it can handle the stacked frequencies and resonance.

Just got mine and it also sounds real good unplugged. Feels good also while playing without all of that bulk of the body!

I really hope that this takes off and they make other sizes! OM and parlor sizes would be great and super popular in the current market, especially if LR Baggs can get into both the nylon string market (Godin could use some competition) and perhaps the whole rubber bridge thing

Played many thin body acoustic electric guitars and thought they all sounded like trash. Played one of these AEG-1 guitars at my local store today and took it home.

That guitar is nothing short of amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on one and plug it into a Taylor Circa 74 acoustic amp.

Man this sounds insanely good and what is crazy is even though he had the bass and treble ramped up, it still played mids well.

Simply amazing!!! The best plugged in sound I’ve ever heard!!! Just make the “sound hole” black to give it a more familiar look and feel! Oh, and don’t add an electric pickup, please 🙏🏼
