Great information, multiple varieties of natural browse. Going to work on generating more red Osier dogwood on the property in the new year.

Great video. I am getting ready to do some major cutting to open the canopy. I had already planned on a few food plots, but had also planned to let some wild plants (blackberry, honeysuckle etc.) grow naturally. You just reaffirmed my ideas. Thanks.

I have my farm set up with long narrow winding plots and more native browse left on the sides than food plots. Ive dropped trees and henge cut an area just a couple days ago to get that new bud growths at ground level. This attracts more deer and hopefully matures that are looking for a home. Diversity is key. You have to open the canopy and allow native plants to grow and become a natural food plot with bedding and security cover. Good advise on food. Learn what deer eat and you will look at that plant very different in the future.

I had 6 deer hang around a batch of hedge privet the other day for like 10 minutes instead of going on out into a food plot with wheat, oats, rye and winter peas. That was also with corn at the feeder out there. I know they would have came out eventually, but the actually got downwind of me working that privet and got spooked.

I had to cringe watching you hinge cut without safety gear. Take it from someone who let a chainsaw get into his thigh when hinge cutting, wear chaps, gloves and a proper hard hat with a face shield. It only takes a split second to mKe a serious mistake.... good luck.

Eradicating non natives is never a bad thing. You want plants that are native to your area, also it's best to involve a forester and your county extension agency that employ experts and don't charge a dime for their services. In most cases they have $$$ to help improve your land for wildlife.
