This talk will focus on transparency and data sharing as well as equitable access to the benefits of biomedical research.

Jennifer E. Miller, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Yale School of Medicine, Director of the Good Pharma Scorecard (a ranking of pharmaceutical companies on their bioethics and social responsibility performance), and Founder of the nonprofit Bioethics International. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum and Co-Founder of a new bioethics publication with Scientific American called Good Medicine. Her current work centers on ethics, equity and data-sharing in biomedical research. She is a recognized leader in empirical bioethics and developing and using metrics to enhance accountability across the pharmaceutical industry. She also explores the ethics and social concerns around the use of big data and AI in medicine and biomedical research. She has authored over 80 publications, including for Nature Medicine, Health Affairs, JAMA Oncology, BMJ, and Trials and been the recipient of multiple grants. She is a frequent news commentator, featured on CBS news, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Bloomberg News, Forbes, and NPR. Prior to joining Yale's faculty, Dr. Miller was based at NYU School of Medicine, Duke University, and Harvard University.
