As someone with Norwegian Heritage, it really cracks me up when people try to use the characters in frozen as a way to show “whitewashing“ or to point out that the people in the movie are blonde, redheads, have blue eyes… Etc. The movie is supposed to take place in Norway the demographics of the people in the movie are accurate.

people can understand that being white is better at age 3? as an asian, i was introduced to the "black" and "white" races via learning about mlk in first grade, and i thought i was white because my skin wasnt dark enough. at the time, if you showed me a light colored black person, i wouldve thought they were white. there is no way in hell people at the age of 3 understand anything about race, let alone knowing that "being white is better".

Oh I recognized that woman. I live in a college town in California and was once a chronic listener to NPR. I tried to read the book a year before most people had heard of it. I couldn't get through the incoherence, self-hatred and bad writing, but I did see her photo.
