The BAFTA Award winning Race Driver: GRID was a pioneer. It was the first game to feature ‘Flashback’ – a mechanic which allows players to rewind and resume their race from a chosen point – and was met with huge critical acclaim when it launched in 2008.

Called “the driving game of the summer” by Top Gear Magazine, GRID presented the player with a living, breathing, evolving world of packed grids, devastating damage, intelligent opposition and unparalleled adrenaline and atmosphere. It was the game that made racing exciting again, letting players thrash incredibly powerful machines through drifting, GT, touge and open wheel racing series.

Enjoyed by millions, GRID spawned two sequels, while numerous other racing games developed their own version of Flashback. GRID was awarded Best Sports Game at the 2009 BAFTA Game Awards.

After several years this game is still emotional and excellent for its time. Currently we take the opportunity to play for a while on the LAN and try to survive haha, and remember, Formula 3 is like a gulag. Excellent driving and video, I can already imagine the effort it took you to do it.

I like how in this game, sometime the AI driver makes mistake and spinout. Unlike 99% of the other racing game where the AI always drives perfectly.

Just a little bit of a tip, if you can get him as a teammate, hire Karl Hammarling. He may only be around 130 in the global rankings, but in the GT1 category, he can quite often outpace the Ravenwest drivers.

There really is no greater feeling in this game than beating even one of the drivers from Ravenwest.
The game really pushes you in that aspect, which makes this one my favorite Racing game of all time.

I used to get frustrated at a race and i would run turn the car around and run into headcoming traffic for fun. The crashes were legendary. I dont think the new games let you have that freedom sadly.

3d public, crash physics even better than beamng, I can't believe I ran this game on a dual core at 60 fps, codemasters are optimization geniuses, I don't think this company has the credit it deserves

this is a good game, and probably one of the only driving games were the ai actually makes mistakes under pressure and doesn't have a perfect race, works well with controller and obviously better with an actual wheel controller, good driver starter game.
