I feel the bigger appeal of the meme is the many edits of it being certain media companies and social apps feeding nothing but slop to someone who clearly doesn't want it, but has no real alternatives, some notable ones being "Disney live action remakes", "Persona spinoffs" and "Pointless AI"

i understand that a lot of trends these days like to focus on productions and society in the early 2000s, but c'mon, let's get real and not overcloud ourselfs with Y2K nostalgia that much. Attributing productions that released nearly to fully a decade after the famous early 2000s is a bit too much lol.
