Thanks it was helpful. I had to set the DC ip address into the client DNS settings from adapter configuration, after that it worked perfectly.

Hello Kelvin and thanks for the video which it appears quite easy, however, I was starting from scratch after setting AD/DNS and made it a dhcp server, I only have to add the ip addresses manually for both windows11 & 10 to join the domain. whereas, even as the DHCP worked for both, they could not join the domain while the networks are on DHCP.

We tried this on 5 computers with Windows 11. So many problems. We did this as a test. We went right back to 10. We will wait for Microsoft to fix these issues. They would not join the domain not matter what we did.

Hello, can you configure a separate PC (real computer) as a client to a domain controller (which is a VM)?

Hello Kelvin, how did you setup the NIC card on the Hyper-V machine inside the local DC in order to have the same Subnet?
I really appreciate if you can help me on this. I do running a Win Server 2019 Database but for some reason I can't setting up properly. I was using Win 2008 R2 with Hyper-V and I never had any issue.
Thank you.
