I have concluded that Microsoft has taken the ability to network away from us. Hours and hours spent trying to do something that was easy on older versions of Windows and absolutely no results.

Useless. My Windows 10 looks nothing like this and doesn't have any of those options. I have a desktop and a laptop both with every single sharing possibility enable, on the same wifi network, and NOTHING will make them connect. How can Windows possibly be this F***ed up?

HOW many different versions of Windows ten are there? My setting don't match yours so I can't go the same route to set anything up. Why do they make it so hard?

Everytime that I try to connect it asks me for a password, but the other computers are running windows 7.

I have been trying to connect a computer via the home group to another computer without any luck. I just read somewhere that some versions of the updated Windows 10 no longer include home group, is this correct?

does this work if one is wireless and one of them are ethernet will they still show up?

what if i dont want to share my computer with other computers in my house, how do i make it so i dont see the pop up ... its bad enough roku show up as a device on my comp

That does NOT work, all Microsoft "support" references Windows 7 and 8.1. None of the screens match current Windows 10. Keeps asking for email address and password.

None of these "solutions" solve LAN problems. It is far worse on Windows 10. And this does not address ethernet, only WiFi.
