2180 Vw bug tearin’ up the streets

2180 with 14.1 cr puts out a little over 200HP, we bolted on a stock clutch so it would be drivable on the streets but it slips way to much. Running VP fuel 110 octane which helped it stay cool while driving on the streets with high compression.

Good Lord, that motor sounds Used to love lauching against Camaros and leaving them through third gear. Sure, it's all over by the time you hit four, but you've already had your fun by then.

Sweet ride.. personally I have learned to keep my spirited driving to a closed course or track.that way I'm not endangering anyone but my self and not risking my License either... I've been there admitaly .. and have lost my right to drive legally for a period... not that I quit driving during that period.. but learned to pick my time and place so as to never go through that again...

Love vw's 2180 is a nice street-able motor haha. What size carb or carbs were on this motor, kinda sounded like a single but I think that may have just been the sound quality from the camera not doing the motor justice, hahaha. Sounds like a 40 or 40's or 44's, 48's would have sounded a little deeper and throatier, but who can afford a thousand-plus dollar pair of carbs right?
