I love this game as well. I felt the solo is great and I'm not a solo gamer. I can also play with just my wife who only games to support me. She really enjoys the puzzle. She was also able to pick it up right away, quicker than I did really. This game definitely fills a unique spot in my collection that I doubt it will ever be replaced. Also I think after a couple plays the AP is less of an issue. Thanks for the review!

This is the first IV Studios game I felt like would stay in my collection. Moonrakers and Veiled fate were too convoluted for me. This game is perfect for me and my wife

The only beef I think wasn't mentioned were the dice. They are made nicely but having to constantly adjust them over and over gets fiddly fast. I don't know why didn't just use a normal track with 10 holes and you just track a total with a cube?

I bought all of IV Studio games and sold Moonrakers and Veiled Fate but I totally kept this one. The other 2 had problems important problems that I didn't wanted to keep them. IMO it's their best games to date. It's a 1v1 tactical games like chess with factions abilities which is sooo fun.

My brother and I played our first game he won of course. We really enjoyed the head-to-head. I can't wait to play another round with different factions.

Lol, @20:39 my first impressions were that Wizards were the weakest. The more I play this game, the more I'm impressed by the balance.

I think I will pass on this. It seems like it struggles with the same issues I have with “So you’ve been eaten”. I think that game is awesome with two thinky people who like that type of game. But unfortunately that wasn’t the case for my wife and I. A little too much thinkiness…

I see there's already several expansions. How's the replayability in this base game? Wanna pick this up because I know I'll love it but don't wanna get involved if I'll end up needing all those expansions in the near future.

seems the two biggest complaints were difficult to teach and small target audience... I have to disagree with both... I taught it two a 11 year old and a 14 year old(who generally hates most games I put in front of them)...both picked up the rules very quickly (which never happened before the 11 year old), both played it very differently (the girl would attach then shield herself off with walls as much as possible) and both loved it and asked to play again...and they have very different tastes in gaming

I am glad some people like IV Games.. however I feel they overcharge for everything they make for the sake of saying it is "premium". None of their games really stand out what so ever to me, they're all pretty themeless. Difficult to justify paying a premium for their games for me unfortunately.
