Kawasaki H2R Secret Test | High Speed Run | Motorcyclenews.com

We’re confident the H2R is going to break 200mph; after that we’re into the unknown.

We speed tested the road-going Kawasaki H2 just a few weeks ago and it kicked sand in the face of the Suzuki’s Hayabusa, smoking it to 180mph while becoming the fastest-accelerating bike we have ever tested at MCN.

Normal production bikes are restricted to a manufacturers’ agreement of 300kph (186mph) but Kawasaki has thrown the rulebook in the bin with the H2R; they say there are no speed limits or restrictors.

The only limiting factor is the size of the rider’s coconuts.

For the full write-up ready the May 20, 2015 edition of MCN.

I heard a journalist saying riders were hitting 210mph on the straights.. interesting.

0-180 in 13 seconds? That's nuts. My Hyundai Accent gets to 60 in about 11 HAHA. What a wild ride!

AMAZING the resolution one can stop the frame where it passes by and it looks quite well. What a nice and revealing clip!

Kawasaki: makes the most powerful production bike.
Random stick on the road: I'm about to ruin this whole companies career.

Excellent video framing and presentation, to be frank; that was really enjoyable to watch and a clever execution.

That was really cool to see and hear, too!

It's not just the top speed thats impresive, (205mph is still very impresive), but the way and rate at which it gets there. My de limeted ZX14 might just get to 195+ mph in the right conditions, but the H2R or H2 for that matter will be long gone by the time the 14 gets to 180.

Very fast! The track is not long enought, I think...

I love this bike but I was thinking it might have a higher top speed. Original Hayabusa was clocked at 197 I think, but that was like 1999 and 2000

With different gearing on this beast I think it could easily reach 220mph!

I was planning on the Yamaha R1 2015 or possibly the new Suzuki GSX-R 1000 2016. But this the bike.
I had a !986 Kawasaki Ninja 1000R and it was fast/heavy.

That has to be a rush with a bike that pulls so hard. I want one!

Is claimed by owners the standard H2 can get to 240hp at the wheel with an exhaust and flashed ECU. Are the carbon flaps on the H2 really worth that much more money or do they have different engine internals?

Wow. I once recorded myself on a portable cassette player riding a BMW R60/6 past at 120km Then 160. I thought it sounded fast but the h2 man that's motoring.
