Also include sculpture and art works even from 300BC. An estimated actual property value is around 22 billion dollars include the palace and land but without its art value.

To be precise, the actual forbidden palace was build during the 18th and 19th century. The original palace build in 1420 was 1/3 smaller and on different Style ( Ming ) It burnt several times and was abandoned for decades left to ruins. Then rebuilt on the Manchu style. It doesn't have 9999 rooms ( Chinese loves to over estimate everything ) Using the Chinese way of counting " rooms" includes outside terraces as long as there are 4 pillars to hold a roof, there is 8700 rooms. More over these "rooms" for the great majority were servants and soldiers area with no painting, no decoration at all but simply empty room where people slept on benchtops .
The palace by itself has a few nice buildings with basic decorations of little value.
