Plane holding prisoners from Russia lands in Turkey

Americans Evan Gershkovich, Paul Whelan and Alsu Kurmasheva are expected to be part of a major prisoner swap Thursday that the U.S. and Russia have agreed to. The plane believed to be holding the prisoners from Russia has landed in Turkey. Michael George anchored CBS News' special coverage of the release.

I’m so glad that they’re coming home, but it’s a lesson to everybody not to travel to country such as Russia or North Korea, especially as journalists just cannot do that. I think the one that surprises me the most is Evan because I used to watch his reports on Russia and I was completely shocked to know that he went into that country knowing what he was reporting on that was crazy to me. it’s a warning to any journalist or anybody, do not speak badly of Russia and then go into that country and expect to come out

So many other countries were involved in this negotiation that put pressure on Russia with nothing in it for them to gain.
