In 2002, the compact, mini-key microKORG synthesizer was introduced, presenting musicians with ready-to-use lead synth and string pad sounds, arpeggiators, a powerful Vocoder, and portability with battery-power operation.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release, the special edition microKORG Crystal offers a unique and stylish take on this beloved synth - now a classic in its own right. It features a semi-translucent chassis that lets you see the electronics and internals. Even the controllers are semi-transparent, including the knobs, dials, and wheels! It has a stainless mirror-finish front panel blurring the limits between you and your instrument and aluminum side panels for a sturdy feel, and clean and depurated look.

The microKORG Crystal includes a dedicated carry bag made of transparent vinyl, showcasing the transparent body of the instrument so that you can show off your microKORG on and off stage.

How about an MS3000 8 voice...Digital control Analog everything else, or what ever number 2500, 2800 with that Retro look like before. The Crystal is cool for the collector. Just my thoughts.

At this point, a MicroKorg should be made with a sequencer AND an arpeggiator, and an 8 voice polyphony, but still looks beautiful this redesign.

There are so many modern features they could be offering. Instead they just release the exact same synth with a see through body lol they could be adding extra pre set storage, more polyphony, upgraded sound engine, MPE, more oscillators, more LFOs, etc.

@korg With the release of this special edition, will there perhaps be more support for uploading & downloading of patches? Specifically for newer Mac OS? The korg sound library is currently not supported on most recent OS.

still the same specs as 2002? which is basicly a Korg MS2000 that is even older... I would have no problem with this release if it also had like multitimbrality and 128 voices of polyphony, but if you only could do a transparent chassi in 21 years, I will pass.
