3 Year Review - SunTaste Solar Oven Still Going Strong!!

This sun-oven design is still just as good as the day I got it. After so many questions and comments on the unboxing and first cook video for this solar oven, I decided to do this three-year update on the SunTaste oven to answer some of the questions and give a follow-up review. I have been using this same oven as part of my solar cooking kitchen every season for three years and it's just worked perfectly. All I need is a sunny day and a reason to be outside and I can fix meals with zero power usage from the house. I've used several types of solar ovens, from Fresnel lenses to parabolic dish cookers, vacuum tubes, and box cookers, but this one has become my go-to choice because its easy and efficient, and consistent in cooking results. This style of box cooker is unique in that is it made from cork, which is super light but an excellent insulator, steam and moisture-proof. For camping and traveling, it has become my favorite design.

I made a similar one. Styrofoam container, bubble wrap on the inside, then cardboard for the innermost side covered with tinfoil. Single mirror on top (tinfoil), glass cover, similar to this. Today I reached 266F. Very satisfied.

this is way better if you live around a desert area that has a lot of sun and it probably cooks better
