You could go to ACTUAL Bora Bora for a 3rd of the price, and the water would be crystal clear and blue, instead of a Florida Swamp.

Imagine paying 3k per night for a bungalow that is over a swamp. In Bora Bora you can actually swim in the water.

Stayed at the Polynesian in 1980, one room for family of 5. Our cost? $79 per night.

I've been lucky enough to stay in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora... let's just say, you're better spending your money in French Polynesia (or the Maldives). Much more luxurious, incredibly beautiful surroundings, and for a "paltry" $700-900 per night. I think even the Four Seasons overwater is $1500. Having stayed in the real deal, I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay that much for these Disney ones even if I had the money to spare. Though the fireworks view would be lovely.

Only downside to those bungalows is the ferry horn that blares every hour on the hour.

it’s still florida. you’re not getting any sane person to spend all that money to stay on a fake tropical themed resort when, at that point, they can spend the money to go to the actual place 😭

I love how Disney is pricing itself at a level where the average person cannot possibly afford to stay. Screw you Disney.

That's better than the star wars hotel

And the best part is there’s a ferry boat that blows its horn until around 1am

Ok ok everyone is trashing the bungalows and I get it but one super cool thing about them is you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks right outside ur balcony. The music plays on a speaker outside the balcony and you can still see some projections. I stood at one for 2 nights (using DVC points) during the 50th Celebration and you could even see Tinkerbell. I think it’s only worth it if you travel with a group, have points and plan on spending a lot of ur time at the resort.

I'm actually at Disney now. I'm staying in an eight bedroom, five bath, with a pool, on a lake Disney theme Airbnb 15 minutes from the park for $350 a night.

Jesus Christ. Me and my fiancé travelled to Japan for ten days for less than that. Our flights + hotel were around $3000 total for 9 nights, 10 days. To think that $3000 in this situation would get you maybe only 1 night (if you’re lucky) is insane. Plus when you factor in the cost of food, travel, theme park tickets, souvenirs…. I can’t even imagine.

Imagine paying that and finding out its right next to the busy ferry port with boats in and out constantly with thousands of people watching you in the plunge pool

We've stayed and the best part is the water pageant stopping right in front of our balcony to play a special show. It was great and we would do it again.

This is for rich rich people. If you're staying here as an average person you're just wasting money.

Never understood the concept of these rooms. If you’re spending thousands to go to the parks, aren’t you gonna be there 95% of the day? Whose gonna chill in the living room in their hotel when they have admission to one of the parks?

The Star Wars hotel has been shut down for many months…complete failure.

I knew someone that stayed at a private oceanside bungalow Tahiti a few years ago that INCLUDED 24 wait staff, chafer service, all meals, excursions, travel and everything, $2600 a day; worth every penny if you want to live like a king/queen for a few days and STILL cheaper then this.
