What does it mean that Jesus was "made perfect through suffering"? And why does the author of Hebrews think that this is "fitting" or "appropriate"?

Excellent video.
Perfection is completeness. Jesus shared in our humanity and continually choose to freely make the will of God the Father his own. Because of this He is able to help us no matter how difficult obedience seems to be.
Philippians 2:5-11

Thanks for that. I thought that “suffering made Jesus perfect because he completed a full circle of life when he died. So I thought his death meant completion and when he said it is finished, he completed life on earth as we do in full circle. ⭕️

Hebrews 5:8 He had to suffer before he could learn what it really means to obey God. Suffering may Jesus perfect and now he can save us forever all who obey him. note: Jesus is suffering was an act of obedience for us to follow.

Its not thatJesus needed to be made perfect through sufferings lts his believers who are the ones made perfect through their trials and afflictions. (Hebrew 2;10)

Hebrews 2
1 Wherefore we ought diligently to give heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we run out.
2 For if the word spoken by Angels was steadfast, and every transgression, and disobedience received a just recompense of reward,
3 How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation,  which at the first began to be preached by the Lord, and afterward was confirmed unto us by them that heard him

Bible study, church attendance and believing in the cross alone doesnt make us perfect . Obeying the voice of the holy spirit and being led by him in the refriners fire is rhe ony way .
