I have a Hitachi 32" LED TV and when I turn it on, the initial white screen with the word Hitachi only flashes, but the backlight remains dark. The sound works normally, the picture works as well when I illuminate it with an auxiliary light, so it can be seen. This can also be caused by a defective LED the diode in the backlight? What strikes me is that when the TV is turned on, the backlight lights up for 1 second and only then goes off permanently. I have previously solved defective led strips for two Philips TVs, but there the screen did not light up even when the TV started. Here it does now, can you advise?

Hi thanks for the video. On my Hitachi the backlights come on momentarily when i switch it on, long enough to show the Hitachi boot up screen, then it goes black. sound is still on. Any ideas?

When I switch on with ariel disconnected the back lights come on and stay on but when i plug the ariel back in the backlights go off. there is a faint picture with the flashlight test. your thoughts on this would be appreciated.
