LARGEST STUPA IN THE WORLD - Phra Pathommachedi

Just outside of Bangkok there's the largest stupa in the world, located just outside of Bankok in the town of Nakhon Pathom.

Great video! I just wanna share some info for those interested to visit the temple. It was Phra Pathom Chedi Temple in Nakhon Pathom Province, close to Bangkok. The temple is 60 kilometers west of Bangkok, located in the main district of the province. You can take a one-hour bus or a van no. 997 at Bangkok's Southern bus station to Nakhon Pathom downtown, last stop of the route. The Chedi (pagoda) can be seen when you reach the town and you can get there in 10-15 minutes on foot from the bus stop. The surrounding area is full of markets and stores like other provincial downtowns in Thailand.

Certainly, more than a thousand years old, as you said. I recognized one of the gods as he or she who saved Uncle Tom while he was running from the slave masters in the American Old South by turning the river into ice so he could run across it into a free state. This was a cool musical drama presented in the movie version of The King and I. I have another question: That old name of Bangkok that took twenty cuts to speak fully...what does the translation of it say? (If it represents a book, nevermind.) Take care!

I think largest and the tallest stupa in the world is located in Sri Lanka .. its called Jetavanaramaya...

Largest Stupa is the Borobudur.. And the tallest one is Jetavanaramaya located in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.. I don't know if you're going for the largest or the tallest cause both of those don't match.. Get your facts right

I'm not an expert but I believe the different statues are not gods but boddhisatvas, which are more akin to saints. Enlightened beings who came back from their enlightenment to help the rest of the world achieve happiness, something like that
