Other than using a lighter to stop a Poinsettia from oozing when you cut it to put it on a cake after it's floral taped, I've never seen fire used befored for any crafts..this is interesting...

This is beautiful. I think the quality of the ribbon is a must, otherwise it looks dull. When I tried with a normal ribbon, not the bright one, it didnt turn out well.
