THANKS!!! so much for the video Dave. I've had an 80mm Unitron scope for 11 years and never got a clear focus in spite of the reputation. My friend picked it up at an estate sale for me for $45. It's such a cute little scope that I could never part with it. You showed me the turret prism assy could come off and that turns out to be the weak link for some reason. It produces a wonderfully clear image with a diagonal and eyepiece, after pulling it out a tad as you mentioned to assist focus. I'll probably use it with a solar filter for the upcoming eclipse, ... and then forever after. ;~) Cheers.

Hi Dave, thanks for your video; let me tell you that I just found out what kind of telescope I had, it was my Grandpa's telescope who he gave to my dad and he gave to me, I tried to look for it in the past on the internet to learn about it but had no luck, after watching you video I was able to figure out the way to open it and clean it, it was full of fungus, the one I have is the 70 mm which is very heavy and I was wondering if there is a larger tripod?
