I fell in love with the song the first time I heard in in norwegian. I'm still in love with the song now and I'm glad I can vote for Norway in the first Semi Final

So glad for your support, and especially I enjoyed the analysis of the lyrics. Some Norwegian music journalists really have something to learn here! This year I celebrate my 50 first years as a Eurovision fan, my fav seldom wins MGP, but now it has happened and I'm convinced TIX will make the nation proud at Eurovision!

I love TIX as a person and as an artist. He’s such a sympathetic sweetheart and just a really genuine person. He has gone through a lot from childhood bullying to experiencing suicidal thoughts and loneliness due to his fame, and i think that is the unexplainable force that just draws me into this song. You can hear and see his story in this song. And even better, he is taking that pain and suffering and redirecting it into spreading a message about mental health and helping others who go through dark times. Also, SUPER talented. He wrote, produced, and sang this song all by himself. He 100% has my vote.

The reason he is wearing a big coat, bandana and sunglasses is because its part of his character (and he has Touretts syndrom, so its also to hide his tics...its kind of an armour for him). He feels more comfortable with wearing all this. He always wear this when he is TIX and has done that since he started doing music 6 years ago.. When he was younger he was bullied by people he thought were his friends, and they called him TIX (because of his Touretts), so he decided to take ownership of that «name» and used it as his artist name. TIX character is outgoing, not afraid of anything, while Andreas is humble, wants to fit in and is kind hearted. They are almsot total opposites, thats why he also wears gold (dresses over the top as TIX). Andreas usually wears jeans and a hoodie.

The song is about not being able to be with the one you love because of mental issues, and you feel you are not good enough. You want your inner demons to release you from the pain they are causing you. He is chained to those demons and cant get away from them. He realize that he have to let the one he loves go because he doesnt want to drag her down in the darkness with him. The song is personal.

Tix has said this about the song/staging: Imagine falling in love with the most beautiful angel you've ever seen, but then you can not fly with her because you have all this darkness/demons that keeps you down and holds you tight. That's the theme of my stage show.

And in the english version he sings about a «fallen angel»
The term «Fallen angel» is used about someone who is currently going through rough times or has had a bad past (depression, abuse, self harm, family issues, ect). A person who has been jaded by life but has not let it destroy their inner beauty, their spirit or their compassion. They still believe in mankind and will go above and beyond for friends and family. However, romantic love still eludes them as they have created walls in their heart that are difficult to breach.»

I made a progress in myself with the song. Hearing it as Ut Av Mørket in MGP I fell in love with it. Then the staging disappointed me but I didn't see the whole picture - his life story, his struggles with mental health, the relationship he had and so on. Now I can see such a deep meaning of the song itself, of the staging and his personality of TIX. He's now my number one and I don't think anyone could pass him :))

I think the song and his voice are both absolutely brilliant!! I'm not sold yet on the staging I think it cheapens it a tiny bit but I think the song and vocals are superb

William, you hit the nail on the head, I was the same. On first hearing I though It was just OK but I found myself humming that chorus & the more I've heard it since, the more I'm humming It. It get's into your head & If a song can do that, It's halfway there. I think this will do very well in the Grand Final.

I must admit that the song has grown on me a lot! It was my third favorite song in Melodi Grand Prix anyway so that is not that weird. I wish Tix a lot of luck at the contest! See you in Rotterdam!
