Tbh it'd prolly be best to limit the amortal to a select group and not tell anyone about it unless they pass some sort of trial or something. It could create some sort of illuminati type bs but if we could keep a select group of, let's say, scientists alive for centuries we could easily advance past whatever was thought to be possible. Selling it would be a terrible idea though, no doubts.

Personally I'd like to become amortal just to explore more professions and eventually travel into deep space (a good reason to develop amortality)

The claim that nobody will want to leave their house is completely baseless. Why would the fear of death suddenly increase if we don't die of old age? Our fear of dying hasn't increased with the increasing life expectancy in the past 100 years.

And people would still need to work to make money for the food you said they could order from online. And not all jobs can be done from home, and even the ones that can probably shouldn't. Look at software developers. That job could probably be done from home, but it often isn't because working with a team in person works much better.

I find it much more likely that people would work even harder to stay in shape because their body has to last potentially for thousands of years. I mean, just because we don't age, doesn't mean we can't get diabetes and other diseases. And using your own claim, if people were to get more afraid of dying, wouldn't they spend more time staying fit?

I think your ideas for what would happen are pretty separate from the concept of stopping ageing. Staying home all the time is probably more likely to happen as a consequence of VR technology. You're stating all these ideas as fact, but you don't back up the claims with evidence at all.

The best we can do is drive safely, if you want to sit in your home, do your exercises, be active, and never let electronics take over you,

Fun animations, interesting topics and funny commentary, enjoying your content man, I feel like some of the arguments could benefit from occasional evidence but other than that keep up the good shit, here's to the further growth of your channel 👍

I'm a introvert I don't have to worry. I'm used to living 99% in my home which has a yard and most of my family lives together. So we will have eachother forever. Also there is very little crime and danger where we live.

I look forward to being amortal for sure. Being immortal would be better but I can see the appeal of having the ability to die if I were to get bored. There's plenty of shit to learn constantly. I really do need to make sure to get back into better shape.

I think the pills will super slowly be given and will become cheaper over time so if in 2050 they have been made in 2060 they might be like $100-1000 which even if that’s all you savings it’s worth it since you will have unlimited time to build wealth

Nobody goes around saying to themselves "Hey, I can't afford a home and I beg for money on the street. But at least everyone dies, including people who have money."
People who try to survive don't find comfort in death, they find comfort in comfort. And about being afraid to die, how does being an amortal affect it? Does the fact that you don't get old make your life any more or less valuable to you? You die if you get hit by a truck either way, and I bet a lot of people already die from causes that don't include old age. Losing someone you care about will hurt either way. And the whole subject of health doesn't get thrown out of the window. You can still die from disease, failing organs, anything, really. Having a pill that lets you stay young doesn't change life that much, it's just able to make it longer.

BTW becoming immortal is also financially good for goverments because of healthcare. I read an article stating that if everyone became more healthier in old age then the us goverment would safe
approximatly 7 trillion us dollar in the next 50 years. And that are 7 trillion dollars more spent on many other things like better education, scientific research, space research, infrastructure etc.

So the argument "The rich would hold those immortality pills back for their own" would be invalid since they would benefit too because then they can get even richer by building a better relationship
with costomers etc.
