The End of Turner Classic Movies (TCM) #shorts

It is getting more and more difficult to find a good classic movie collection. Turner Classic Movies has been the commercial-free gold standard since 1994, but might it be coming to and end? People forget that AMC, or American Movie Classics, used to be just like TCM, but it changed to more modern programming. Other classic movie streaming options have popped up and disappeared over time, but they’re getting harder to find. TCM is now owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, and in June of 2023, multiple TCM executives were fired, and the channel was put under new management. Does this signal a change in programming? Please, God, no. IF you have TCM or TCMHD on cable then go out and buy a digital recording device and hook it up to your cable box. Start recording now. Storage space is really cheap. Don't cross your fingers and hope that TCM survives. Record for insurance.

I hope TCM stays the same. It is one of the best TV channels and streaming apps. It has all the wonderful old movies and without TCM how will the young kids of our generation be able to watch such classic as Casablanca or the Maltese falcon?
