Rhino vs Hippo

Rhino attacking hippo. Only to be chased of by the Hippo!
This happened in the Hlane park in Swaziland.

The thing about it is that the rhino really haves the upper hand in combat but since they aren't as smart as hippos they can be easily intimidated.
So in case anyone reading this ever encounters a Rhino remember its better to stand your ground and try to intimidate it and not run away, in the other hand if you encounter a Hippo run as soon as they show their mouths and stay away from their territory.

Rhino or hippo, it's very interesting to see these mega-herbivores together. I can't recall the last time I've ever seen them quarrel much less interact with one another.

Rhino has the upper hand, he just didn't know it. He got intimidated out by the hippo, haha!

The rhino would own the hippo. They are really the only other species besides the elephant that I can see being able to defend themselves while alone as long as they were at adult age. Incredibly agile and insane endurance for such large animals, and their hide is super thick.

Only in water a Hippo would beat a Rhino. The only land animal stronger than a Rhino is an Elephant. If that Rhino was seriously enraged & began to attack at full force, that hippo would be dead.

The rhino was picking on the lil hippo, then big hippo came to stop the bullying. It even reminds me of Tom and Jerry and the dog.

Look at their Body Types, the Rhino is Muscular and Build like a Tank ... and the Hippo, Like a Giant Pig ... But those Hippo Jaws and Teeth sure are powerful.
