Volkswagen is the car if you are an enthusiastic driver. It is way ahead in terms of smoothness, pace, pickup and built quality. It's has a sport mode which makes hell lot of difference. Drive it once and you will get the answer.

Perfect observation for the kickdown -

I've had the car for 2 months now, and I've noticed the same thing. So what happens is, the gearbox slips the clutch and matches the rpm of the lower gear, before the intended gear is actually engaged. This ensures that you don't bang into the lower gear and prevents accelerated wear and tear of the gearbox. I have also felt this in upshifts sometimes.

This might give a slight rubber banding effect (also found in CVT) before the intended gear actually engages, and the additional torque is served.

I have found myself not liking this kickdown feature too much, so I manually override into a lower gear and floor the pedal. Here the torque is instantaneous.

as far as gear box is concern DCT is as good as DSG of VW but the question is that the size of engine 1.0ltr. petrol in VENUE is not little but too small engine compare to vw sedan cars use min. 1.2 in GT TSI to max 1.6 ltr. diesel in vento with DSG gear box

No where near to VW DSG ...you can feel every gear changing if you want fun go for VW

Pls help me with your reply,
I've come across to some users experience with Hyundai venue dct. Users are complaining that the dct unit is heating up excessively even during 30 minutes of stuck in heavy traffic. Is this true?

To be frank DSG is more expensive to maintain than DCT

Thank You Sir and..
for DCT gearbox ...in bumper to bumper traffic if we change the drive mode to manual gear shift, will there be an issue with Gear box heating up ?
As in manual mode, if I make sure only 1st gear is engaged and creeping the vehicle in bumper to bumper traffic..will the gear box heats up???

Dct gets heated as comoared to dsg .... as dct is dry gear tech so will heat up in bumper to bumper traffic... but dsg is wet type..so wont heat up.
