Population Protection Control training

Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, with support from the 1st Military Police Battalion conducted Population Protection Control training at Lavarack Barracks. During the Readiness Protection Course, the soldiers underwent a Population Protection Control scenario at Kapyong Lines. This training tested the soldiers’ ability to cope with realistic, high-pressure scenarios, preparing them for stability operations and ensuring the Brigade remains a capable and ready force.

our govt is declaring physical war on us. the remedy to the army assaulting protestors & in some cases incapacitating or worse is fire & acid. who are the politicians that went along with this? who requested this criminality?

I was in the army from 1985-89 this has always been a part of the training? The Australian military is not permitted to do crowd control against Australian population. This is training against unfriendly populations it is non lethal control against unarmed people while on deployment overseas never in Australia. If you think it is something else then you are a bit simple in the head?

My Grandfather served in WW2, in PNG. Was a Warrant Officer. I support the ADF. But I never thought I'd see the day when I needed to tell the Defence Department to get stuffed.
