Olympic Peninsula Road Trip 2 | Hurricane Ridge and Ruby Beach

Hurricane Ridge is such a beautiful place to stop and see on the Olympic Peninsula as you travel around Highway 101 and then it takes you around to Ruby Beach on the Pacific Ocean.

I've been asked how the Hymer Aktiv drives on mountains and steep grades. She's different then the Winnebago 26 foot I had and doesn't engine break with the tow/haul function like the Winnebago so you do have to downshift and touch the brakes when descending. You can see in the video my up hill climb and descent as well on Hurricane Ridge.

Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to purse this crazy dream of living out of my RV full-time and traveling all around North America.

After 1 year of traveling I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B Hymer Aktiv van. I couldn't have been more excited to continue my second year in a van that allows me travel to more places and experience more in life.

Thanks for taking me to places I haven't been in countless years. Great views! Ocean Shores has a vet. Too bad you didn't know, cuz you could have stayed longer to see our sights. Hope you come back someday with your cute dog and let her run on our off-leash dog beach. She loves the sand, as all doggies do! Mine love to "dig to China!" That's the only place they are allowed to dig, so they make the most of it when I give the command.

Hey Amber, thanks again for your great video. I'll be doing the Olympic Highway 101 when I get there in 8 weeks (and counting!) looks amazing and thanks for the heads up about the Quinault Casino parking. I enjoyed seeing the road conditions and hints about the mph etc, as a complete newbie I was worried about that. I hope Lily is getting better.

Love the beautiful scenery. Brings back memories of Pacific Northwest visits. My little Maltese has had similar symptoms in the Carolinas this summer.
