I installed a Goodman in my house 6 years ago. No issues. Guess it comes down to if you are a hack installer. Furnace been great too

They are starting to use bigger condenser coils because larger coils means more subcooled liquid, every 1 degree of subcooling is 7% towards our net refrigeration effect, makin it more efficient

Here in Illinois the only requirements needed to purchase and install goodman equipment is a 94 chevy single cab work truck, Busch light in the cup holder, and a bumper sticker that says will beat any price by $500 or its free...

My childhood home has the air conditioner from 1988 still. Works fine. Never once has been serviced.

I said the same thing when i had my 3 ton york from 1995 replaced. The high efficiency replacement is HUGE easily 3x the size!!! . Blows less air but over a much larger surface area to release the heat makes much higher efficiency. So its all about seer2 efficiency.

New Seer2 units are huge aren't they? Especially that 14 seer. Love the wire tops on all of them, much better than the stamped ones.

I don't really think Goodman is bad, I use them for lower cost jobs if that's what the customer can afford. It's all in the prep and install. Same Copeland or scoll compressor, same Parker valves and uses same 410a as any other brand

The condenser coils are a lot bigger than they used to be so they can perform better and be more efficient.

Not the biggest fan of Goodman but i do like how those side panels come off for cleaning. Way better than that wire grid crap on the lower end Carriers/Bryants

You removed an ac that was built in tyler texas, and installed one that is "assembled" in the US, which is fancy for its a bunch of chinese parts that had the screws put in here
