Показать описание
On 4 June 2020, Thomas Cueni, Director General of IFPMA, delivered a statement at the Global Vaccine Summit 2020. IFPMA’s members have worked for 20 years with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to stem the ravages of infectious diseases.
Gavi has shown the power of science and collaboration to change the lives of a whole generation of children. Over the past twenty years, industry’s partnership with Gavi has helped vaccinate more than 760 million children in the world’s poorest countries, saving more than 13 million lives.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, IFPMA members are working at unparalleled speed to develop and build manufacturing capacity and distribution networks to deploy a COVID-19 vaccine in record time.
IFPMA members are fully committed to accelerate development, production, and equitable access to safe, effective, and affordable COVID-19 vaccines, and deliver on Gavi’s shared vision to reaching the next Gavi generation of 300 million children in the next five years with lifesaving vaccines.
