Railex System 781 Side Load Clothing Conveyor Case Study

A dry cleaner with a booming business was running out of space. The store already had two system 771 up-down storage conveyors and there was not enough space for another machine. The only space left in the store was in the basement.

Railex used its 781 side load conveyor to come up out of the basement for garment on hanger storage. The first machine worked so well the customer installed a second machine just like it. Now the customer has 2,000 more slots for garment storage. The amazing thing about this is that is only takes up about 50 total square feet of floor space!

Rumor has it that they have two of these conveyors that are the same type and size and both are 33 years old. These two conveyors utilize the storage space under the floor that has a height of only 50". They have an automatic retrieval system which brings the selected garment to stop at the opening on the main floor. Each conveyor has a capacity of storing 781 garments.
