In the old days, there was a station voice with a strong Texas drawl that would sometimes mock you for using a Docking Computer: "One of these days you need to learn to land that thing, Commander"

Imperial stations always make me feel so welcome and respected and its the best

Always found the difference between Federal and imperial stations to be funny.

Imperial background announcement (this is close I think): "if you loiter in the docking bay, we may be forced to take drastic action"

Federal background announcement (an actual quote): "LOITERING IS A CRIME, PUNISHABLE BY DEATH."

I'm at Rear Admiral rank and the Fed stations are ridiculously polite. I always love it when I engage the auto-dock and the FC is like, "Auto-docking command acknowledged, enjoy the ride commander."

They did some good voice acting/programing. When you first start out the controllers are all you must request X and you will comply with Y. Once you gain rank you will notice more of the please and thankyous and we are so glad to see you.

If you start on a new account you realize that they don't sweet talk that much. More respectful tone becomes more noticeable as you progress in rank.
