I just noticed how the dust lights make it seem like the church leader has angelic wings on the background.

Long time fan of Amplitude Studios since they released Endless Space originally to early access. After playing through all of their games, I've got to say, this is the most awesome faction introduction they've released to date. It's just so goddamn sad in a lot of ways. Through this and even gameplay mechanics they did a fantastic job of making the Vodyani something that're simultaneously pitiful yet horrifically cruel/evil.

Definitely my 2nd favourite prologue to my favourite faction with the overall best OST. Nothing beats the Riftborn prologue.

They remind me a lot of the Broken Lords from ES1. They too were changed. While they use dust to sustain them, the Vodyani need Essence. But the whole dependency on something with a knack of absorbing life force from others stands out.

the lore looks really interesting... love the prologue and hinting another vodyani faction called heretics perhaps...

It would be funny if the cult of the eternal end escapes Auriga instead of the Vaulters, a war between the vodyani and the cult of the eternal end would have been awesome.

I have a question. Does Vodyani's "false prophets" create The Cravers? When I watch Cravers Prologue I saw Cravers's master for a moment is that Vodyani real form without their holy "Cloth"?

I'm really interested about the Heretic and what he represents. Is he against the idea of feeding upon "lesser beings" or/and the thought of them being "higher beings" or does he just want rule everyone and everything?
