I actually did it. I played every Skylanders game... I wanted to see if this series really deserved to disappear or if we all just forgot how fun it used to be... enjoy

you can actually upgrade your villains in trap team through the specific villain quests for each of them, they are scattered throughout the game so i am suprised you didnt come across any or just forgot about them

Skylanders Spyro's Adventure and Giants were orignally planned as Wii exclusives, but Nintendo declined the offer. That's why Spyro's Adventure has so many Wii gimmicks. A different company from Toys for Bob made the port to xBox and Playstation. From Swap Force on, the games would be developed with all systems in mind.

Actually the Kaos sensei is a clone that Kaos made of himself. It’s in his wiki which is separate from Kaos’s own wiki. Easy mistake to make.

As of rn, there was a Skylanders remake in the works, not to include toys-to-life, but it was one of many projects at Activision-Blizzard Bobby trashed at the door.

Toys to Life was a genre I wish still existed. Better or worse that the games became, it was all about the Skylanders themselves for me. I even spent hours on Imaginators because owning SA/Giants on 3DS was useful for resetting them, so I was free to test classes/elements til I was satisfied

1:30 I remember those Skylanders displays. I have a very vivid memory of being in the Walmart gaming section with my dad as a kid and we were turning around the aisle when the display screamed out something, I think it was either one of the Skylanders' names or some command in one of the character's voices. My dad jumped and almost kicked that thing into the roof because he thought it was some guy trying to jump us lol 😅

Skylanders giants was my first ever video game I remember playing it after school and played it for ages I absolutely loved it! It was so fun playing as Kaos in Imaginators never knew he went for so much now

I'm just happy you covered SuperChargers Racing; so many people overlook/disregard it when doing a retrospective on this series, only looking at the six 'main' games, which kinda frustrates me, not least because of how fun SuperChargers Racing is. Sure, it's no Mario Kart killer, but then, nothing ever will be, and I say that as someone who's hyped as hell for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
