Biden and Putin hold talks over Ukraine invasion threat

US President Joe Biden has told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that America and its allies would respond with strong economic and other measures in the event of any military escalation in Ukraine.

The leaders held a two hour virtual summit this afternoon amid rising concerns over the build-up of Russian troops on the Ukrainian border which have sparked fears they could be poised to invade.

According to a gentlemen's agreement between NATO & the USSR, NATO forces would not move eastward. They have. They inch closer to Moscow, thus fulfilling the dreams of Napoleon & Hitler. Why should Russia trust the USA which pushes NATO power closer to Moscow? Meanwhile, China pushes its power towards the Atlantic & perhaps the Caribbean & the USA becomes panicky. So, if Russia dislikes the eastward push of NATO, why should the USA dislike the outward push of China? The USA should welcome China into its own backyard. Love your neighbor & all that. When China begins to build military bases all over Latin America, let's see how the USA reacts.

On that map you shown, Ukraine’s neighbours: Moldavia and Romania. If Putin takes over Ukraine, Rep of Moldavia will be next (easy target) and Russia will be door-in-door with EU and NATO

I am from Ukraine and our biggest mistake in history was to trust Russia and to give our nuclear weapon in exchange for guarantees of protection by the US, UK and Russia. All 3 broke that deal in 2014. Thank you dear World. We learned our lesson.
