I have an old Frank Thomas mesh jacket. It has removable lining (essential) and a zipped pocket at the rear which contains a waterproof jacket to go over the whole jacket. It’s so good I’m loathe to part with it despite the lack of CE certification. I’ve fitted decent armour myself.

why are these so called summer jackets so often black? that defeats the object of being cool to wear. i live in south africa and do a lot of urban riding. in summer when you are moving a mesh jacket is great. when you have to stop for 2 minutes at a traffic light a black jacket heats up so badly that after the second stop you are drenched with sweat. this is from personal experience. so for me this jacket is all but useless
