My favorite Biome for building has always been the Mega taiga, and jungle.
I love dense forests.

I am currently building in a thick Dark Forest biome that is on an isolated island surrounded by a natural circular river moat!
It's very witchy and cottage core, so I spruced up the place with lush biome flora.

The mushroom biome also has some of the greenest grass around besides maybe the jungle (though you likely have to dig up the mycelium and bring in the grass yourself)

My favorite that I just discovered is a swamp/savanna mix for like a farmstead type base. The way the grass blocks mix and have that dark and light color hits different :) never had a preference before

Might I say that grass in the mushroom island is such a beautiful color. So that's another reason to build there. It would be a big task to replace the mycelium but totally worth it.

Me and my friends usually just build near an ocean with at least one mountain nearby. It’s fun to be able to get multiple layers to a city and have a waterfront with it for a port

My favorite biome to build in is the flower forest, because I like flowers, and because I don't want to suffer the pain of moving bees early game 😅

The Badlands color scheme is so freaking classy. I used to not like it but now I understand it plays a real good second fiddle for more vibrant colors like tinted terracotta or even concrete if you really dig the saturation.

The only problem is, no rain.

I've found a small island with a windswept savannah with a secret lake between the peaks, with a broken portal on top, and an ocean monument really close. It's great 😁

cave bases are really cool, i have a huge lush caves biome, u can even make an iron farm inside the cave if it is big enough, getting the villagers is kinda tough tho, but it looks awesome

building in a hilly dark oak forest has always been my favorite (even though the dense forest is hard to work with) because it has a good vibe
but since the 1.18 generation almost any biome is great because the terrain looks so good!

The Badlands Biome is my favorite to build on. I literally live in a Badlands Biome in real life. Look up Western Colorado and the Redlands National Monument in Grand Junction Colorado. It will absolutely blow your mind. There is nothing more beautiful than a snow packed high desert landscape.

i absolutely love the snowy slopes biome, i just love building a small cabin or building that overhangs off of a slope and watches over the endless running snowy slopes

I have no specific favorite biome, it's more to choose an area which I accept to build in, and where my daughter don't' accept to go further. As she grows older, the locations are better every time we generate a new random seed world.
