NURSE FOUND: Cops Left Crime Scene (What Do We Do?)

We are in Lake Isabella, California right now where Christina Murphy, A nurse, and mother of two, went missing 50 days ago on July 22.

Today we located her Toyota 4-Runner.

Jared located and dove on her vehicle this morning in the Kern River. He was able to use the river eddys to get to the back of her vehicle to verify all of the windows are blown out but unable to get to the front seat to verify if she is inside.

His entire dive was under 10 minutes.

The rigging would only take a few minutes.

As you all know, we treat this a crime scene the moment we identify it’s the vehicle we’re looking for.

Law enforcement and community officers were on scene for four hours before vacating and not telling any friends, family, or AWP why they were all leaving.

There is rumor that the dive team they brought in is claiming it is unsafe without even taking time to review the footage that Jared had available for them.

Originally this morning, when Jared met with law-enforcement, they did not want him rigging the vehicle for liability reasons, but never spoke with him further from one dive team to another to assess the situation.

If this was your daughter, what would you do?

1. The father of her kids works in the sheriff's office 2. the car looks like it has been rear ended 3.law enforcement goes so far as to show up in force, WITH A TOW TRUCK then putz around for HOURS 4. didn't have the common courtesy to thank you or notify you that they were leaving the scene WITHOUT EVEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEO! For some reason they do not want this car recovered yet. Reeks of protecting one of their own.

I was a current diver for decades and totally with you on this. Anyone that could not go in that tiny river claiming it is to fast has zero business being a diver!

I know someone who works for a news station in Bakersfield and I just passed this on to her and asked her to give to the news crew. I hope this helps.

I spoke to someone at the news station, KGET. They are trying to confirm information and I believe put a story together. Hopefully that helps.

She has saved many lives and this is the way she gets thanks. I wouldn’t go to the hospital if I was a cop in the town. She saves lives and you can’t save hers!!!!

I have lived in Kern County for 34 years and just moved away 2 years ago because the whole area is going to crap! This is embarrassing and disgraceful to locals! So sorry to her friends and family, hopefully with all this attention they will get their s**t together and pull her out. Praying for all her loved ones! Thank you AWP for doing what you do best!!!

This sickens me! I've known Christina since she was 13 years old and I am so sad for her family. I love you guys and I am praying they do something soon. RIP beautiful! I hope they figure it out soon. You deserve so much better than this.

I’ve read she wasn’t in her vehicle, I’ve read she was. If YOU had been left to make this rescue, it would have been done with dignity and respect. I’m so sorry she was treated this way and her family and friends dealt with this pain for this long. Shame on them!!

That law enforcement community should be ashamed!!! I’ve been in EMT for over 30 years, correctional Officer for 3 and Fitter Fighter for 15. You don’t stop, you keep going! No matter what! You bring that family’s loved one home!!! In their community, how many other people, families, loved ones, how many are missing??? How many missing and their law enforcement know where they are at and just left them there.

This was truly horrible. It beggars belief that the police etc would be so bloody ignorant and leave without telling your team and why weren’t you asked for the detailed info you already had had by this diver that was ‘on his way’! You do an amazing job and do it with a calmness and professionalism that is admirable, so it was quite a thing to see you ‘losing it’. Thank you for all you all do.
