Loved the movie and loved the track, no question his vocals are so laid back and so so effortless with no grandiose of spelling out the narrative, which cannot be said for the scene from.the 68 special 😲.

Now to the 68 special performance, gosh its like night and day, from the movie scene, within the context of the bordello scene it fit just right in, the alpha male arrogance oozed through the sultry evocative vocals. It most definitely lost the somewhat playful innocence of the movie scene performance, and took.on a whole different, unashamed and unbridled realm.

For me I preferred the original and it's setting, less is more so to speak and I can understand why the Singer the sponsors of the 68 special deemed it rather riske to say the least. 😲

There's no denying in just a couple of years how much Elvis had grown artistically, and personally, the confines of the movies shackles had well and truely been released.
