Griffin Park demolition

Brentford have moved to their new stadium but Griffin Park has been demolished with only a few pieces off evidence left off the 12,000 capacity stadium.

Very interesting Matt. Surprised someone hasnt built on the rest derelict site of Griffin Park. Land is priceless in London. Went to Griffin Park a few times with the Gills, back in the 70s and 80s.Quite enjoyed it back then

The old Club Shop was, I believe, the Off Licence of the now closed Princess Royal. The New Inn is still very busy on match days as It's only about a 10 minute walk from the GTech. The Brook was the Royal Oak, which closed then re-opened as a poncey craft pub that isn't football fan friendly.

The Griffin, a London pub that you'd see in a film. Correct. It was used in the film Green Street as the GSE's local pub/hq. Still frequented by a lot of Brentford fans on match days.

The Braemar road stand only got demolished in the last couple of months, sad its all gone now but the new stadium is pretty decent

It's always sad when these grounds go. I have done tonnes of videos on the old stadiums and the one present comment is always there "The new stadiums might be more comfy and have better facilities but they are usually out of the way, identikit stadiums with no atmosphere".

So sad to see it demolished, beautiful old stadium, if only Brentford got promoted 1 year earlier they would’ve played premier league football in there a bit like Luton and old kenilworth road this season

Always amazing day to Griffin park for some reason coming back to Kent there a lot of missing scene as for the movie Griffin was the Abby in Green Street
