Unbounce: How to Add Google Analytics Code to Your Pages (2020)
Показать описание
Want to know how to add Google Analytics code to your Unbounce landing page in under 5 minutes?
I show you how to do that in this video!
There are 2 ways you can add any sort of code to your Unbounce pages.
The first is the way we've always been doing it - manually going to every page and adding the code there.
But the 2nd is a way we haven't looked at before and it's actually a time saver.
Let's take a look at both of these methods.
✔ Method 1: Adding the code to every page at once
If you want to add the Google Analytics code to all of your Unbounce pages belonging to a specific domain at once, this is the way to go.
You have to click on "Scripts" in the bottom-left of your Unbounce dashboard and then add a new script.
There is an existing integration between Unbounce and Google Analytics, so simply select Google Analytics from the dropdown, and enter your Google Analytics tracking ID here.
To find your Google Analytics tracking ID, click on "admin" in your Google Analytics account, and then click on "tracking info" - your ID should show up at the top there.
All you have to do now is copy this ID and paste it back in Unbounce where it asks for the Google Analytics ID.
Click next and normally you would have to fill in some blanks, but because there is an existing integration between Google Analytics and Unbounce, there isn't much you have to do here.
Edit the name of your script at the top if you want to, make sure the ID is correct, and then select your domain.
You do need a custom domain inside of Unbounce for this to work, so if you haven't added your domain yet, check out this video:
When you select the domain and save, Unbounce will add this Google Analytics code to EVERY page belonging to this domain.
Make sure everything looks good and click on "Save".
Give it a minute or two to save and that's it! You have now added this Google Analytics code to every page belonging to a specific domain in Unbounce.
You can visit the page and double check that by viewing the source code of the page and looking for your Google ID - it should be there.
You should also see activity in your Google Analytics account as well which will confirm that you set everything up correctly!
Onto the next method in adding the Google Analytics code to your Unbounce pages.
✔ Method 2: Adding the code to every page individually
If you want to add the code manually and individually to each page in Unbounce, we can do that too.
This method is better if there is only a page or two where you want to add the code to.
Basically you just have to go into the edit settings for your page, open the JavaScript option at the bottom-left, and add the code in the head section of the page.
You would repeat the process for every single page you want to add the code to.
You can find the code in the Google Analytics tracking info section as well.
It'll be just below the Google Analytics ID, so just copy that entire code and paste it in the head section of your Unbounce page(s).
You can double check that you did this correctly the exact same way as you checked the first method.
Save and publish your page, then open it and view page source to see if the Google Analytics tracking ID is there on the page.
If it is, great! You know you added the code successfully.
For Google Analytics it's not as important, but for other codes which involve events, like for the Facebook or Google Ads pixels, you might have to use both of these options, method 1 and method 2.
So stay tuned as we go over these topics in the next videos, but this is how you add the Google Analytics code to your Unbounce landing pages!
And that's it!
