The "Palestinian" problem is very simple. One side is commanded by its Prophet to kill the other side. That's it. The rest are details. Anyone who tells you it's complicated is complicit. Refer to hadiths like Sahih al-Bukhari 2926 or Sahih Muslim 2922. And dozens of Jew-hating verses in the Quran, plus large tracts of Muhammad's biography (genocides of Jews in Khaybar, the Banu Qurayza massacre, etc.). This is a 1, 400-year long religious war started by Muhammad and it's never going to end. Other conflicts end because they are actually about land, resources, revenge, etc. but this is RELIGION and unless you can rewrite Islamic scripture, this war will never end.

Israel controlled it's border to a degree. (it allowed gazans to work in israel, use israeli hospitals and allowed food, water, power and materials to cross. As for the MAJOR other border, Egypt? Israel didnt control it, they were lied to as to Egypt's role in bringing in muntions, supplies etc for 15 years. the issues are not 0 or 1 Eric is correct.

At 04:40 - The Gazans could do whatever the heck they wanted inside their own territory of Gaza Strip, but nothing ever gave them the right to just wander like "Brown's cows" across the border with Israel and certainly the Gazans have no right to launch rockets at or perform terror raids on Israel and not expect to have a massive military response from their victims.

I think something that’s missing here is how anything negative that happens in Israel affects the diaspora and we aren’t always sure how to handle that. I’ve never been to Israel, but I would love to someday, however it feels super unsafe now and I wouldn’t want to visit anytime soon. I agree with Weinstein about Israel’s PR. They really need to lean into the argument that Israelis are very diverse and the country is welcoming to everyone. They also need to share more about the education system in Palestinian-controlled areas and the different programs, like pay to slay, that incentivize violence toward Israelis. When we hear about it the focus is more on “violent settlers” vs. “defenseless Palestinians” and there’s nothing else out there to counter that claim with actual footage and historical documents. I had to dig to find that information. It’s all over the place in different forms on the Palestinian side.

Eric, I'm not sure what you are saying... ? I was born in the states. When I became aware of the continued Jew hatred I went to move to Israel circa 1983 (yup, that is me in the Galil) AND learned to shoot a gun AND volunteered to guard a city in the citizen guard. Israel is a small country with incredibly brave soldiers. Talk is cheap. Personally, my anti-Israel tolerance is efes.

I just thought about the perfect metaphor for what happened in Israel and Gaza. Oct. 7th was the murder of George Floyd and Everything that happened after was the Summer of Love. I'm sure I don't have to explain myself for you to figure out what I mean.

Completely agree, that's my thoughts and way as well, almost from the beginning this war. It was exhausting to chat/explain/... But what is needed for sure is the missing PR, en général, and individually: bravery, to dare, to challenge their apologetics, to proudly say what they don't want to hear - and humour, as often as possible.

Also, I've noticed that better than is make own slogan/idea and go forward regardless of particular issues. Often repeating them.

And, also, very important is to encourage each other...

Don't make out the entire conflict is about religion because many faiths lived in Palestine peacefully before the Zionists decided they would flood European Jews into Palestine to take land they wanted to create a state for Jews & that part is about religion. In other parts of the middle east Arab Jews also lived peacefully with other religions regardless of the Middle East being predominately Islamic. At the creation of the Jewish state, Israel, the Arab Jews were called upon to move to Israel & unfortunately treated like 2nd class citizens for not being European Jews. Muslim Palestinians have always been given the shorter straw from the beginning of the Zionists plan & after every conflict that straw gets shorter

Eric is a mixed bag. He's right about 1/2 the time. I think he's right about the comms, but not correct about the border. Israel didn't "control" the border, they had security, because the other side had attacked them over and over. But this "control" gets lighter, when the attitudes change in Gaza. It didn't. So, I think it's important to autocorrect and make sure we aren't using the enemy's language.
