Colorism is also in Latin culture and it's insane to me it's still a thing. She's right it feels very violent because it is from our own people.

#BridgertonSeason2 did so good to cast these beautiful dark skinned brown tamil women in these leading Lady roles. No shade to Naomi Scott, but I think Charithra would have been perfect as Jasmine in Aladdin.

just to educate on what is the current caste system because many people who are from that background do not understand it. caste is part of a "modern" system from colonialism. it is not the same of precolonialism India and was not based on birth right or how people looked. it was based on personality and character. it is a very misunderstood system because Indians do not learn about from their own voices
