Trick 19 at 10:55 really resonated with me, enthusiasm is completely within our control and is crucial to success.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said ― “Every production of genius must be the production of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

I was taught receptive listening as part of the active listener technique. Another aspect of this is to ask strategic questions. It shows the other person that you are actively engaged in the conversation.

Number 5 is actually surprisingly good. Not only shows it people what a good listener you are, it further increases your own skills at learning the important aspects of things fast!

Love the interview related psychology tips. I speak about a number of those over on my leadership channel. As a hiring manager of 20 years I can confirm they really do work.

When someone tells a joke at my expense, I don't ask them to repeat it. I just smile quietly as I plot their demise.

I love psychology tricks, can be used in marketing, negotiations, getting a date, getting a promotion and in any situation. The using the name trick is great when you are vying for someones attention!!

Good tips. I’m not sure about mind blowing however.

The number 5 is really effective bc when you’re listening someone they like to say the situation without short the conversation. They forget the words sometimes and that makes they feel that you arent pay attention

To the question: "What is your greatest weakness?" I respond "My affability tends to makes me feel obligated to answer inane questions such as that." That communicates to the interviewer that I'm not stupid and I am not here to play mind games with him/her. -Guitar Eddie

a weakness about yourself. Instead of saying "I'm always late for work"....Say "I take too many risks"....Works for me.

I've used some of the tricks myself already and they really work!
But there are also quite some tips I've never heard before.
So thank you for the video! I'm curious to try some of them 😁

9:04 Told my new neighbour I killed somebody in a fit of rage with a meat cleaver and only me and him know about it. At first he looked a bit shocked, but after I kept eye contact with him for a while, well actually staring at him holding him in my gaze while not saying a word for about 2 minutes solid, he seemed to brighten up and was all smiles and as pleasant as can be. What an awesome guy. He always insists on washing my car and mowing my lawn, and puts my garbage out. Feels like we have a great connection. I told him I would hate to see him go and he said he was going to stay my neighbour as long as I wanted him to. Could not ask for a better neighbour. 😂😂😂

Some really interesting tips! However, I'm supposed to arrange an interview first but last but also on Wednesday???

So you want to be first for the primacy effect, you want to be last for the recency effect, but you should really go in the middle (Tuesday or Wednesday) for more focus from the interviewer... that really cleared things up! 🤪
