I think the rebrand was necessary due to a market repositioning. Before they were a tool for designers that don't necessarily know how to code, but after Framer and the rest of the newest tools, it became a professional tool for developers as well as designers. Archicad did something similar, I believe.

I understand from a no code point of view, but programming a site for a client will always provide the ultimate user experience. Webflow will always be limited compared to what real programming can do for clients
