Please call him out publicly and submit this breakdown for that hack. This was brilliant, David.

Bill Maher was right about one thing about Americans that should include himself. When asked how they think they compare with other people from other countries on standardized tests, they rank themselves at the top, while their actual performance scores are near the bottom.

As a Canadian who's been through some health struggles, I've been on dialysis twice. I have received two kidney transplants 10 years apart and I didn't have to worry about going broke. I'll take that any day

Couldn’t agree with you more. This segment echoes his take on San Francisco, where he blamed ‘wokeness’ for the closure of six CVS stores, ignoring the fact that CVS actually closed 900 stores nationwide. It’s a clear pattern of omitting crucial context to fit a narrative.

Maher lost a lot of viewership in Canada with that segment, not because of the misinfromation about Canada, but because his show covers a lot of important subjects and it is evident that you can't rely on Maher to relay actual facts...jokes aside!
He delivers misinformation in the same way Fox news does...he takes a timy fragment of an actual fact, and then creates a cloud of bullshit around it as if all the points he is making are based on actual fact...and that makes his entire show no better than Fox and other right wing media!

Bill Maher becoming a Canadian Conservative mouthpiece is exactly why he should have retired a decade ago. He has become the very thing he hated.

I just had a major heart attack three months ago which required two follow up medical procedures. I was in and out of the hospital within a week (I wanted to leave sooner but they kept me to monitor a couple extra days to make sure I was completely fine before getting discharged)....and I did not pay a single penny. I am now on numerous medications which, looking at the labels, would normally cost hundreds of dollars each time I have to renew them but for me, it comes to a grand total of $10 (not including the aspirin which is an over-the-counter medication). Thank goodness I live in Canada! Bill can kiss my ....

I was pissed and commented on Bills YouTube channel. He should know better than anyone about fake news. Pretty disappointed with him. Thanks for going through stats more when I responded to him. My daughter needed surgery about six years ago. If she had surgery in the USA we would have been 100k in debt. Thankfully in Canada we were not scrambling to try and find money to pay for my daughters surgery. Glad I'm Canadian for ALOT OF REASONS 🎉

You know George Carlin would be putting Bill Maher in his place if he was still alive today, he actually kept Maher in line before his death.

Funny how he never compared gun homicides or infant mortality rates.😂

When my brother & father-in law had brain surgery, we couldnt afford the 500k bill for each of them. I thank my dad for choosing Canada when he came In 1954 from China. Now my kids will never have to go thru medical debt for any life saving surgeries.

Lack of social housing is part of the problem. Foreign buyers and flippers are another problem. 45% of the houses being bought in my city of Vancouver are owned by investment groups. It's more than just social housing that's causing the issue it's also unmitigated greed.

I usually find that when an American is talking about Canada, get ready ready for mistakes and errors.

I have been disabled since I was 39 years old🇨🇦I have had dozens of surgeries that have cost me zero dollars, spent more than 7 months at a time in hospital, and at 65 years old, own my own home completely. The govt did not pay for my apartment, I did, working in the health care field. I live in Vancouver, BC, which is one of the most expensive cities in North America to own housing. I have never been bankrupt, and I have never waited for a health procedure. If you really need it, you are at the front of the line. If I lived in the USA, my life would be very different. I stopped watching Bill Maher when it became obvious that he didnt care about the truth of his statements, just the shock value.

Canadian here. My dad had a multi-year struggle with cancer that -- had we been American -- would have bankrupted the family. Thank God we're Canadian.

My kid was treated for cancer and because of my depression I lost my job. Our social safety nets caught us. Because of this we didn’t go bankrupt with that trauma on our backs. We are all now working thriving and all happily paying back into the system that helped up

Yeah. He smears us a lot too just for wanting affordable college and a living wage. And God forbid we ask for our tax dollars to translate to even the most basic of healthcare.
