As a kid just starting school Learning about these Tall Tales John Henry was always my favorite, not only because i was born and still reside in West Virginia, but its just a captivating and inspirational, not matter how many times i hear it or read it. I cant help myself i always cheer "go big john go" even though i know how it ends, I'll always cheer for him, just a great story

As a kid growing up in the 70's.  I remember the children's book, "The Book of Giants"  with illustrations by Phillippe Fix fondly.  It was a beautiful book with great giant stories.  Not to mention "Where the Wild Things Are"

Correction David did not kill Goliath with the stone, the stone when it hit Goliath stunned him and knocked him out, while he was down and before he could get his bearings back, David took the giants sword and cut his head off and that’s what killed him. Not the stone.

I believe the birth of giants in the book of Enoch and spoken briefly about in Genesis. Mudfossils of these giants are literally all over the world.

In a museum in south america there is a 5.6 meter giant on display reconstructed from the parts of the skeleton that were found. The remains of a 25 foot skeleton have been found in Peru and the egyptians have a record of 55 foot giants the moved the huge stones used to build their largest monuments...
