Of course, something that old and that steeped in religious symbolism and history isn't going to be an easy read. People have been arguing over the meaning of the writings in the Bible for almost as long as they've existed, and there have been some pretty groundbreaking theories developed over that long period. Here is something. The Bible describes Jesus with hair like wool and skin the color of burned copper yet the lie of white Jesus still gets posted on this site.

The theories are as outlandish as ever and get more convoluted as we gain more and more understanding and knowledge about the world and the universe. Just like UFO's in the 50's and 60's were always saucers and then all of a sudden they became lights or torpedo shaped and triangles in the late 90's. "A lie can travel around the world and back again while the truth is lacing up its boots.”—Mark Twain.

Much easier to succumb to fear and mystery than try and work out the truth of the matter.

Although I love and appreciate all theories, the one that makes the most sense to me is the idea that most bible stories are relatable to past astronomical events, or solar maps of the seasons, etc. Peter Joseph did a perfect job describing this in his movie The Zeitgeist.

I subscribed to this channel some time back and I am in awe of the amount of research that is used in each episode. A lot of great information in less than 15 minutes. You are left with the chance to venture deeper into the given subject. I could be wrong but I think that his voice is familiar in a couple of other channels that bring education to light. These theories are all fascinating, but instead of charachters I approach with interpretation that they are metaphores to something about human life or what could be a good aim as a human - there are of course warnings about certain types of personalities. Secularism did not make these images obsolete but the thinking, that they are something external and exist as their own - out of our reach. That is why it could be thought how these elements coexist in lives and time we live in the world.
