Yes, close lakeshore while Gardiner is under construction. Good idea.

If you want to attend any of these events you might as well get an Air BnB or hotel downtown or just west of the downtown core. Getting in will be super hard. Also, this summer Lakeshore should never be closed down since the Gardiner is under construction.

Would love to come into Toronto to spend some money ... but Gardiner is down to single lane, Lakeshore is closed, Metrolinx no longer offers evening/weekend buses to Peel, and Spadina has stopped running it's streetcars...
