We see that balancing a pencil on its tip on our finger is a task that is almost impossible. However, if we fix a divider to the tip of the pencil and then try to balance it by its tip on our finger, we find that we can do it very easily. Using the divider in this manner shifts the centre of gravity of the system to the divider and this allows us to balance the pencil easily.

I have one question that why we can't hold a pencil or a scale on a finger straight other side we can easily hold a long pipe by seeing on the top of the pipe please answer me I want solution.
